Policy Manual

 

MEMBERSHIP REQUIREMENTS

  1. You must be at least 18 years old. 
  2. You must register under your real name.
  3. You must provide your valid VATSIM ID number.  There is no minimum number of VATSIM flight hours required for membership.  Your VATSIM ID number is only used to verify your identity. 
  4. We are affiliated with AMCvirtual.com.  However, membership in AMCvirtual.com is not required.  
  5. You are on probation for 30 days.  Failure to fly at least one hour during probation will result in removal from the roster.  If you are removed from the roster, you can reapply. 
    • All Active AMCvirtual.com pilots are exempted from Atlas Air Virtual flight requirements. 

 

TRANSFER HOURS

  1. All new pilots will receive 300 transfer hours.  
  2. All AMCvirtual.com pilots will receive an additional 300 transfer hours, for a total of 600 transfer hours.  

 

FLIGHTS

  1. Offline flights are permissible.  
  2. Time Compression is permissible.  

 

AIRCRAFT

  1. The Atlas Air Virtual Fleet is limited to aircraft actually owned and operated by Atlas Air Worldwide aircraft, either current, or historical.    

 

AIRPORTS

  1. We only fly Atlas Air hubs, or destinations, verified on flight tracking websites.   

 

ROUTES

  1. We fly Atlas Air routes verified on flight tracking websites. 
  2. To fill in some gaps in data, we also added some CRAF carrier routes that originated from Atlas Air hubs, and terminated at US air bases. 
  3. There are no charter flights.

 

FAILURE TO FLY

  1. Any pilot on the Inactive List will be subject to reassignment, at the CEO's discretion.  
  2. Any pilot who does not fly for more than 180 days, without requesting a Leave of Absence, will may have their transfer hours reduced to 50 hours.
    • All Active AMCvirtual.com pilots are exempted from Atlas Air Virtual flight requirements.

 

PIREPS  

  1. Atlas Air Virtual Pilots can approve their own PIREPs.
  2. We use smartCARS to record all regular flights. 
  3. SmartCARS protects multiple venues for friendly competition. 
  4. Manual PIREPs are not available. 
  5. Email Monty if you lose a long haul smartCARS flight.  


DISCORD

  1. We share a Discord Channel with AMCvirtual.com. 
  2. The Discord Channel is only available to active pilots.  

 

BANS

  1. The CEO of Atlas Air Virtual has the right to suspend, or ban, any member of the Atlas Air Virtual for any reason, without recourse.
